Welcome to Teams Life Centre

We provide social activities and practical support to local people to promote positive wellbeing, and mental and physical health.

Teams Life Centre is the home of Dunston Family Church in the Teams. Dunston Family Church is a registered charity.

We serve our community by providing a wide range of sports and social activities for all ages and abilities at our community hubs, Dunston Activity Centre and Teams Life Centre.

We maintain close links with Gateshead Council, and other community-based projects throughout the North East.

With a full IT suite and laptop use, we're here to help you get online. Get support with mental health, employment training and energy advice.

Charity Shop

Collection points for unwanted items, including books, toys and children's clothing. Come and browse the shop!

Parties & Room Hire

Our space is the perfect place to host your little one's birthday party or another special event. Contact us directly to find out about room hire and availability.

Children's Activities

Regular calendar of activities for families with children, including a crèche, after-school clubs and soft play.

About Teams Life Centre

Teams Life Centre is the new name for the old Teams Community Centre, based on Askew Road West in Gateshead.

Teams Life Centre (TLC) was created in 2015 when Dunston Family Church, a local registered Christian charity, obtained a 30 year lease from Gateshead Metropolitan Borough Council to operated the building for the benefit of local residents.

Teams Life Centre exists to serve and support the folk of the Teams, Gateshead.

Within Teams Life Centre we offer a range of community activities for adults and children, rooms available for hire by community group and local businesses, a cafe, a second hand shop, a large sports hall, as well as several rooms of different sizes.
